Ryan White Part B

The principle intent of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program) is to provide services to persons infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), including those whose illness has progressed to the point of clinically defined Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).” The goal of the Utah Ryan White Part B Program (Part B Program) is to provide for the development, organization, coordination and operation of an effective and cost-efficient system for the delivery of essential services to individuals and families affected by HIV disease.

The Ryan White Part B Program aims to provide wraparound services to people living with HIV. These services include: access to HIV related medications, ambulatory/outpatient medical care [including mental health], medical case management, non-medical case management, treatment adherence education and support, dental treatment, food vouchers, emergency financial assistance, early intervention services, transportation and insurance assistance. Services are based on the eligibility criteria set forth in Utah Administrative Code R388-805.
